Children
Our Family team specialises in the arrangements for children. Courts encourage parents to agree on the arrangements for children between themselves, but sometimes the parents cannot agree and in this case the courts have powers to intervene and make decisions in the best interests of the children.
At Glaisyers, on a daily basis we deal with the following issues:
* Residence and Contact Orders (often known as Custody and Access Orders)
* Financial provision for children (such as maintenance)
* Child abduction
* Applications for permission to take a child abroad
* Change of name deeds
* Applications to permanently remove a child from the jurisdiction i.e. from England and Wales to another country
