Accidents at work
According to Health and Safety Executive (HSE) statistics, tripping and slipping accounts for a third of all major injuries and one trip or slip occurs every three minutes in the British workplace! The Manufacturing sector can be a very dangerous place to work.
Slippery floors, poor lighting and loose wiring are just some of the main hazards that occur and accidents can include falling from a ladder, tripping over debris, be caused by defective, dangerous, faulty or unguarded machinery. You could even be injured by your workmate as a result of an unsafe work system or work environment.
It may be possible to make a claim for compensation against your employer if you suffer an accident at work due to the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, which state that it is the duty of the employer to assess potential risks.
You could be eligible for compensation for accidents at work if it can be proved that the accident was someone else's fault, whether this is your employer, a fellow employee, or a visitor.
In all such cases, our team can help you.
